According to the manufacturer, "The calculator is for the rapid and easy estimation of welding times, when welding carbon steels with semi-automatic CO2 welding equipment , using solid or flux-cored continuous electrodes." Originally distributed by Hunter Associates, Bridgwater, N.J., the calculator is a duplex (2-sided) unit made of heavy plastic.
