ESTATE: Large, (over 1" square stones for the cufflinks and approximately 1 1/4" x 3/4" stone for the clasp), antique natural butterscotch Balticamber cufflink and tie clasp set. Each piece of the set was obviously handmade and probably sometime before 1920. There are no markings of any kind. Theset is one of a number of pieces in theestate of a Lithuanian woman. Some of the other pieces of amber jewelry either have already been put up for sale or will beshortly. There are no chipsin any of the amber but please look the photos over carefully. There appears to be a pin hole to the front of one of the cufflinks; it is not. It isnatural to the amber and is some kind of deposit.(pleasesee photos). I have tested the pieces with acetone which had noaffect on the amber and a hot pin (which of course I applied to the back ofone of the pieceswhere it would not be noticeable); thesmoke smelledlike pine burning.
