ESTATE: I purchased this rug, from the estate of an art dealer,about a year ago and have tried todetermine its origin ever since. (I'm not well versed in flatweave but it was eye-catching so I bought the piece.) I've had responses from a number of rug dealers andtheir answers were all over the place...from South America to Morroco to the Southwestern United States and, yes, even Turkey (Anatolia). All I really know isthat itis an extraordinary, and colorful, hand woven wool flatweave rug. I don't even know when it was made. The rug was rolled up in the basement, but for how long is anybody's guess.It could use cleaning but, as can be easily seen in the photos, it is invery goodcondition.Sale of this item is not for review.
